Tips for Children
- Use recycled wrapping paper or brown paper to wrap your Christmas presents
- Images on old Christmas cards make great gift tags or new Christmas cards (simply cut new cards from coloured cardboard and glue on your image)
- After Christmas, keep all your wrapping and Christmas cards, they are great for kids craft
- Get creative and make your own Christmas decorations from recycled material around the house
- Create fun Christmas stencils using a sponge and piece of wood. Draw a star or Christmas bell. Trace the outline onto a kitchen sponge and cut around it. Glue the sponge onto a piece of wood and allow to dry. Use the stamp to create a range of colouring patterns and pictures with children’s paint. Children will be able to make some great Christmas artworks!
